2014 Used Book and Curriculum Sale! Tuesday July 15th

Just a reminder of our sale from 9:30 to 12:30 tomorrow, July 15, at Christ Chapel (1200 Old Stage Road, Centerville) - I think we're going to have a good selection!

You can drop books and materials off the evening before (Monday, July 14) from 6:30 to 8:30, or the morning of the 15th from 9 to 9:30. Pick-up is from 12:30 to 1:30 after the sale. (If you have lots to sell, please try to drop off the night before so you have enough time to put your items on tables of the right category.)

Minimum label requirements: There must be two matching labels taped securely to the item that state its price and your name (so we can get the money to you at the end!). If you’re really short on time – and who isn’t, nowadays? – just do the following:

1. Labels are here. Labels
2. Print a bunch of copies of the page and cut ‘em up.
3. Mark your price on each pair of labels, and tape ‘em on – preferably with one of the copies on the inside cover of the item.

(Remember, two labels on each!)

If you want to fill out the rest of the label information for your items, that’s certainly fine, too. (This also gives you a record of which items sold and for how much, and is a safeguard in case one or both of your labels fall off.)

When you bring your books, please pay a $2 seller fee (donation to Christ Chapel) and label an envelope (available there) with your last and first name, phone number, and email address.

Anything you don't think is worth time to label can be put on the "buck a bag" table. Proceeds from this will ensure a decent location donation, and then any extra will be divided evenly among those running the sale, to compensate them a little for their time.

I will make up a sheet describing how to get to Dunkin', a park, a cool penny candy store, library, etc. for anyone who needs to entertain their kids between dropping books off in the morning and picking them up after the sale.

Please also focus on any manipulatives, educational games, etc. that you'd like to sell: I'm planning to advertise the sale on Craigslist as an "educational materials sale" to try to get buyers among teachers and daycare folk: they've often been the ones who've bought the most when I've sold homeschool items at yard sales.
